This blog is still relatively new, and since there is no grand writing plan, the categorization has been difficult. This post is an attempt to organize the content. This sticky post will be continually updated and will remain at the top of the Blog page to provide a map. If you are new to the Blog, I hope this gives you somewhere to start reading.
Not every post is included here so feel free to look around and use the categories as well. The themes of communication, coaching, success, life lessons, perspective, and change cross over various topics. I love music lyrics and often include lyrics in my posts. Those are in the category of ‘music’ and can be found that way.
If you are a new reader and want to know why I am here, there is a really long read here. It is not ‘content’ so much as it is an explanation. It is more in-depth than Introduction. There is also an About page on the menu above.
Where posts are interrelated and make more sense read in order, I will create a reading order post. The topic of change will obviously be a recurring theme. The posts on that topic that build on one another are listed here.
Many of the most recent posts centre around not falling into the ‘trap’ of trying to change yourself just because it is a new year. You can see the titles of those posts on your left.
In December I discussed our relationship with Perfection. A summary post for those will be posted soon.
I am currently writing about Obstacles to Change and Tools for Change.
There is a summary post for obstacles and one for tools
I just recently finished a series of posts on Preparing for Major Change.
Comfort Creep is part of the series on change but the message of the insidious nature of comfort applies in a larger sense
High-Cost Times addresses the need to actively redeploy your resources when you choose to change, or when life forces it on you
I admit to being fascinated by the role of story and how we tell our own story. The story related posts have no particular order.
They are: Movie of Your Life, Widen the Angle, How You See Your Story and my struggle with Certainty. I have also written that playing The Role of Me can get in the way of making a major life change.
There will be more posts on the topic of how we tell our story.
A topic that links the role of story, the power of knowing yourself, and feeling free will be the topic of life script. The post Life Script contains the links to all the posts on this topic.
I believe in the power of learning to listen. There will be a number of posts on this topic. The first one is I’ll Talk To Them
I will continue to update this map as I add content. Thanks for reading.
